SAHITYA UTSAV is a little-magazine dedicated to poetry. Moreover, it contains poetic papers, poet profiles, micro stories, essays and book reviews also. It is an official organ of the International Poetry Society of Kolkata India.
The magazine was started in 1999.
Biplab Majumdar is the honorary editor of the magazine.
Since inception apart from publishing contemporary Bengali poetry, it has been publishing the translated poems of different states of India as well as countries of the world in order to cater its mission of creation.
Pradeshic Batayane (Through the neighbouring Window) and Kavitar Viswayan (Globalization of Poetry) are two inevitable parts of the magazine where the poems by the poets of other states and countries are translated into Bengali and published regularly with a view to broaden the horizon of fraternity, friendship and fellow-feelings among the creative persons.
Till date (31st October, 2017 – last issue) Sahitya Utsav (R.N.I No WBBEN/2000/1896) has published nearly 1600 poems, 11 poet profiles, 32 articles, 12 micro stories and 92 book reviews.
